Ginger is the Intake Department Manager at VCC. She began working as an Intake Specialist in April 2014. She transitioned to a Lead Intake Specialist and then to the Department Manager in September 2015. She uses her customer service and management experience to lead her team to effectively screen veterans and their surviving spouses for the Aid & Attendance benefit. Ginger’s late grandfather served in the US Navy and was a WWII veteran. She is passionate about her work and has a true commitment to VCC. When she isn’t working, Ginger likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Sherry is the Accounting Manager for Veterans Care Coordination. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and gardening. Sherry is married with two kids, and she graduated from Central Missouri State University. She also took several accounting courses at Maryville University, St. Louis. She has over ten years of accounting experience, and oversees all facets of change in the accounting department.Sherry has a very strong attention to detail and works very hard at leading her team. She is looking forward to her future with Veterans Care Coordination.
Leah is the Human Resource Generalist for Veterans Care Coordination. In this role, she ensures the development and implementation of performance management, employee retention, benefits management and employee relations policies and strategies. She works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Leah is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management. Leah has 15 years of experience in human resources. Leah is passionate about working at VCC to help honor and support those who served our country. She has a cousin who served in the Marine Corp and another that served in the Air Force who she admires tremendously. When not working, Leah enjoys spending time with her family and capturing special memories with photography.
Candice Smith is the Accounting Manager at Veterans Care Coordination. She enjoys working with the VCC Accounting team to ensure proper payment to our 500+ preferred providers. Candice has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Lindenwood University, Saint Louis. She has 15+ years in accounting working in both accounts receivables and payables. Candice is surrounded by Veterans, with family members from all branches of the Military. Working at VCC is her way of honoring the 100+ years of combined service her family has served. After work hours, she enjoys spending time with her two children and husband.
Anthony is the IT Specialist for Veterans Care Coordination. In his role, Anthony is responsible for disaster recovery management, internal IT support, HIPAA compliance management, and application management. Anthony has two Associates degrees from ITT Tech in Earth City, Missouri, specializing both information technology and software development. He also has a Bachelor's degree from Lindenwood University, majoring in information technology. Anthony is also currently pursuing his Master's degree in IT management from Lindenwood University.
Anthony was born in Suffolk, England, where his father was stationed at Royal Air Force Lakenheath with the United States Air Force. He believes it is both a privilege and an honor to give back to United States Veterans and their families so that they can obtain the benefits that they deserve. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their animals. He is an avid Jeep lover and is a member of the “Jeeping Mid Rivers” Jeep club located in St. Peters, Missouri.
Chris is the Salesforce Administrator at Veterans Care Coordination. He is responsible for managing our Salesforce Organization which is one of the key tools used to best serve our Veterans at VCC.
Chris has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Non-Profit Management from Lindenwood University, Saint Louis. His Grandfather served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Purple Heart recipient serving in the South Pacific during WWII.
When Chris isn't working with the IT team, he likes to travel, cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals and spend time with his wife and three children.
